West Center City Dive Bar
There are lots of things you could criticize about Doobie's: it's always smoky, the bartenders don't hold your hand, the menu is very limited, your clothes have a strong odor when you leave, the bathr...Still dingy despite facelift
Doobie's is a crowded smoky cheap bar that is very neighborhood oriented, but draws a larger crowd of people looking for crowded smoky dive bars. Their recent façade improvement has taken away a bit ...Smoky Dingy bar
Doobies is a more of a smokeroom than a bar/restaurant. They are always crowded and full of smoke. The food menu is very limited. The staff a little aloof. Good hangout for the younger generation. This place has great food and character
I love this place. I would recommend it to everyone. I can't say enough good about it. A terrific value and it has a great ambiance about it. Service was friendly and I like to bring friends there as it puts you in a good mood to be there.chill low key bar with good food served extra late
I dont get out of work until after 10pm and Doobies is always open serving everything on the menu late. It's also got a great selection of beersBest Friendly Bar
I have been going in Doobies for more than 3yrs and I must confess that is a very friendly and cozy environment. I had the chance to meet Marko the bartender and from him to make friends with the neighborhood. I think the place is great for people who are new in town.strangely beloved
Doobie's isn't a bad bar, it just isn't worthy of the near cult following it has in the GHA. I guess I'm too young to remember when there wasn't much besides Irish dives, and maybe Doobie's stood out then but to my 22 year old eyes it just isn't much.THE definition of a "neighborhood bar"
Doobie's is unquestionably my favorite bar in Philadelphia. They have a great beer selection, and a very knowledgeable staff. Marko behind the bar is one of the coolest bartenders I've ever had the pleasure to meet. The food is always good, and it leans towards the vegetarian. It's kind of a hip, open-minded atmosphere...with ZERO pretense. I've tipped many a beer here and ran into all kinds of people...and everyone's welcome at Doobie's. It has an old, "lived-in", neighborhood bar feel...but it is NOT dirty.Great beer selection!
Anybody who thinks this is just another dive bar is sadly mistaken. They have a great selection of local and craft beers at really low prices, pretty good bar food and the atmosphere can't be beat. One of my favorite bars.Worldwide > United States > Philadelphia, PA > American Restaurants
