Not recommendable
I was very disappointed by my visit here. The stylist was friendly, but she also chopped up my hair. It really doesn't look good, and it's all cut to pieces. This place wasn't very pricey, but I'll have to wait for months to grow out this mess. I had even taken in a photo of the cut I was looking for, but now I look like a shrub. Guess I'll have to find some cute winter hats to hide under. Please don't go here!A hidden jewel in downtown Boston
I've lived in Boston for 2 years and tried a few hair salons, including an over priced Cambridge salon that gave me less than satisfactory results. On a friend's recommendation, I decided to try Dellaria a few months ago and I have been thrilled with the results. I get a fabulous cut and some of the best color I've ever had for bargain prices! Lauren Vears is a genius with color and I would recommend her to anyone I know. The staff appears to have lots of regulars who keep coming back pleased with their results. The salon is no frills, due to the bargain prices, so if you're looking for the "total spa" experience-this is not for you. But, if you're looking for a top quality cut and highlight for less than Newbury Street prices, you MUST try Dellaria in Downtown Crossing.Never going back there
I got my hair highlighted and cut about a week ago. I didn't have an appointment and the only available hairdresser was what they consider the highest in their ranking because of their experience. Now, just because someone has 10 years of experience doing hair , it doesn't mean they are any good at it. She worked fast and put the partial foils in in about 15 minuts and then put me under the heating lamp to hurry the process. My natural hair is dirty blond so the heating lamps were unnecessary and in the many years I have been going to the hairdressr I have never been put under heat with foils and bleach in my hair. I care very much about the health of my hair and needless to say it looks lifeless and ruined now, not to mention alot of it is falling out.She then proceeded to give me a choppy haircut that only looked good that day, and a blowdry that hurt because of how hard and careless she was pulling on my hair. All in all, it definetly wasn't worth the $160 plus all the money I am spending on nutritive and moisturizing conditionors and masks to bring my hair to health again. The hairdresser obviously didn't care about me or my hair other than taking my money and getting me out her chair as soon as possible. I believe that women deserve to be pampered when they decide to spend money on such services and this experience was far from it.Horrible, never go here, my hair is butchered
Never go here. I got the worst haircut ever today, I almost started crying in the salon. I asked for a trim, and the hairdresser cut off about 2 inches! I have a bob to begin with, but now it's almost short enough to be a pixie cut, and so matronly - even though I'm in my 20s. On the way out, I had to ask for a bobby pin to put my bangs back, because they were absolutely butchered!! And, to top it all off, the website said a haircut, including wash, was $32, and I was charged $40. The person at the desk told me that the price increased because I was with a "senior stylist", which is BS - a) She was under 30 years old, and b) a "senior stylist" should be able to give a simple trim.1,000% Satisfied for Years!
I've been seeing Sabatino for the past 3 years. I'm in my mid 20's and prior to finding him, I've had many a bad experience. I actually have never had a decent cut, besides a few here and there that I've been able to get out of my uncle, who has been doing hair for 30 years. My uncle is absolutely amazing with all types of hair, but he doesn't do it anymore and actually refuses to - even as a favor! However, he was the one who referred me to Sabatino. I completely trusted his judgement, knowing what a perfectionist he is and that he was referring me to his own hairdresser. Needless to say, I have never had a disappointment! I see Sab every 4-6 weeks religiously, have been for a few years, and will be forever! He actually does several members of my family's hair now (including my 3 sisters, my mother, 2 aunts), as well as several friends and co-workers. One of my sisters works at a financial firm close to Summer Street and has almost every trader and assistant seeing him! I'll admit, I've watched the other stylists there and I have seen some atrocities, but Sab is absolutely THE BEST! Not only will he do EXACTLY what you tell him you want, he will give you the perfect cut and color that you could only imagine! He's especially careful about chopping off locks, too. I have very long hair, and usually just get a trim. Last visit, I told him I wanted to chop it, and he was very careful to only take off about half of what I wanted (4inches, verses the 8 I asked for), so that I could "ease" into the change. I am SO glad I listened to him, because I would have been so sad if all my hair was gone now, but I love the new look he gave me! On a side note, he's extremely hot and probably has the best personality that I've ever come into contact with!Worldwide > United States > Boston, MA > Beauty Salons and Services
