I am leaving this comment here to help parents that love their children and want the best for them. Parents, please open your eyes, ask difficult questions. I have heard many disturbing reports about this business from 3rd party encounters and observation, however, I am NOT going to report that here as I want to keep this factual with only my opinions and first hand accounts. I recommend that you stay clear of this day care. From day one of signing up my child/children, you get a strange feeling that they are steering you from one direction and selling you on the other. Their focus is about the business and money and not about your children. Their business is an unproven and uneducated experiment that is using your children and your money as the sample. It is painfully obvious that they are way over their head in decision making and financials. Literally, this is the school of hard knocks. They are focused on number number numbers when it should be the KIDS. My kids are not cattle and not just a head count. The pricing is not transparent as they will hide it from you (Opposite of Lesson 1: How to Run a Non Profit). Their pricing is very high to start with, so it doesn't help that they hit you up for more money for functions, late fees, tuition increases, ect. They use an interesting math formula to calculate their tuition which results in the more time they spend at the daycare, it cost more per hour...Strange? Crawmer's Critterz emphasizes how the daycare as a whole is a "community" and a "family" and how everyone has each other's back. In my experience, this is NOT practiced at the daycare. In this unstable economy, many families' incomes have been altered and affected some of the parents who use Crawmers Critterz. I have seen them turn away parents who could not make a payment on time and charge you fees for payment 1 minute late. However, when are in need of "extra funding" they are quick to send out an unfiltered drama saga of an email of personal nature and accounts. They use stories of poverty and grief to guilt you into giving them even more money other than tuition. ONE of the many reasons parents send their children to daycare is allow the parent time to work while knowing their child is in good hands and a rich learning environment. How am I suppose to focus on my day if I am receiving daily emails from Crawmers stating their financial crisis and their extraordinary tales and fables of past lives. Is this suppose to bring comfort and assurance that I made the right choice to use Crawmers Critterz? Who are these people? They claim to be organic only food which is not true. Animal crackers, gold fish, frosted mini wheats, safeway celery/apples are very delicious, but, are NOT organic. In 2012, to see the all the fair trade and organic harvesting movements taking place, it is Disgusting and Appalling to see someone market Organic food for children and then to do a quick "switch" on your kid when you are looking the other way. Messed up. If you are going to sell me on a experience or product, you better deliver that. That's probably why Crawmers Critterz has an enrollment sign on their lawns 24/7, radio ads and a healthy Google marketing campaign to get that head$ count higher. The business ethics of this establishment are some of the worse I have ever encountered. They changed their business structure from a private business to a nonprofit recently to "reap" the benefits but are still running the business as a private function. Ruth and Russ treat their staff with disrespect and seem to believe that they can keep past clients and staff from speaking their mind and experiences with whom they choose. I am leaving this comment here to provide parents that love their children and want the best for them. Open your eyes, ask difficult questions. Good luck to all the parents that are looking for a quality experience for their loving children.
