I was quoted a price of $25 when I set my appt for my 15 week old min. schnauzer, but when I took him in for the appt the price was raised to $45. She said my puppy was already the size of an adult puppy, but she never asked about the size of the puppy before she quoted the price. Because it was too late to schedule an appt elsewhere, I went ahead and left him there for the appt. We arrived at about 8:30 am on a Saturday morning. By 5:00 when I had not received a call to pick my puppy up, I called to check on him and was told that he had not even been started yet. I called back a couple of times over the next hour and he still was not ready. The place was scheduled to close at 6, so at 6:30 pm I decided to go there to check on the progress. When I arrived, she was just starting his cut, so I waited outside. When he was finally done, he didn't look much different than he did when I took him in. His legs did look clean and brushed, but as for the cut, he looked like he had barely been shaved at all. The cut was uneven and lacked the precision that I am accustomed to getting from professional groomers. I asked if she could cut him lower, but she said she does not cut any closer. Went on to say some groomers do, but she does not. While she's telling me what she does not do, I'm thinking "But this is my puppy and I'm paying you!" By then I was too tired to argue the point, so I gathered my puppy and left very dissatisfied. By the end of the week my puppy looked like he was seriously overdue for grooming. I stopped by the groomers the following Saturday to let the groomer know how dissatisfied I was and her reply was, "I'm sorry you were dissatisfied, but that cut isn't my specialty." I told her that if she was unable to do the cut, then she should have just said that, instead of taking my money and doing a very poor job. I also let her know that it was not a good practice to overbook to the point where she's too tired to offer quality service to her last clients. I would NEVER recommend this groomer to anyone, nor will I ever frequent the place again.
