Great lunch place
The place has small family restaurant atmosphere. Very unpretentious. Service is great and fast. They have great bento boxes and lunch specials. Most are around $7-9.Good hot p0t!
Been there several times now, and I've enjoyed everything. I've had a few hot p0ts, some stir fry stuff in a stone bowl, jan pong, bulgogi(actually, I'm not sure if I ever ordered it, but... who doesn't order that at a Korean restaurant?). I liked the kimchi pancake too.A favorite place for Korean
This has a small family like atmosphere - very unpretentous and simple family place to eat. Service is fast, food is awesome. Bulgogi, Kalbi, Bokeum Bop's and soups - it's all very good and at a great value. When the traffic on I-40 gets horrible during rush hour, pull in here and eat!Cho Sun Ok is fabulous
This is a unassuming restaurant that reminds me very much of the Korean restaurants in Korea. I've been here countless times for lunch and a few times for supper. They have improved the decor since 2008 but it's still just kind of plain. It's not a romantic place but fine for a big group or just the two of you. Everything I have ordered has been fabulous except for the Cha Chang Myun. Their version of this noodle dish is bland and not very fresh tasting. I think they use dried noodles instead of making the noodles fresh. There is a Chinese restaurant up the street that does it much better. Cho Sun Ok has very good galbi and bulgogi even though it is not cooked on charcoal as it is done traditionally. Their soups are plentiful and full of flavor. On a hot summer's day try their cold Nang Myun soup. it will cool you right down. On my birthday I took friends there and we had some hot pots and the Korean seafood "pancake" - we were all stuffed! The price is really reasonable for what you get. If you want to try the place at lunch they have smaller portions of popular dishes for lower prices. If you are unsure about what you are getting, ask questions. The waitstaff speak very good English (especially the younger girls) and will help you. It's a family owned place that enjoy serving good Korean food. You will not be sorry you tried it.bad BBQ
We have been to this restaurant here and there because it is the only Korean BBQ place close to us, but the Korean BBQ there is consistently worsening. To begin with, you have to make two orders of BBQ ($20 a piece) to use the BBQ stove, so it's not cheap. The last time we were there, the meat was pre-cooked. What's the point of the BBQ stove then? And the portion is tiny. After complaining about the portion, we were given more pre-cooked meat, this time not even with the bones, so we had no idea what cut the meat was. What's worse, both of us had diarrhea right away after eating. We will never go there again.Worldwide > United States > Durham, NC > Restaurants
