I agree...horrible service
My buddies and I like to go to Chapel because of the people watching, great drinks and small plates. I have had not so good experiences with some of the staff because they seem to be rude. I was almost thinking that they were trying to be "rude" to be cool or something. But I had hands down the worst experience last Friday (2/15/08) when we were celebrating a birthday and this gal that waited on us was such a dragon lady. We had a big party and people were leaving early and paying separately and we still saw their items on our final bill! Not only did we have to refresh her memory but she was very grumpy and moody. It took us about 30min to resolve the issue and I have to say that I will think twice when a buddy makes a suggestion to go to Chapel. BAD SERVICE!Chapel needs a new staff AGAIN!
I have been going to the chapel every since they open a few years ago. This is a great spot for happy hour and yes they have a beautiful space but the staff RUINS it! They are not consistent with their level or service and they always seem really put out to do their jobs. Come on people open your eyes!Love it here
I'm a big vodka fan and this place just amazes me. The three times I have went the service was great. I got my drinks so fast I kept a pretty strong buzz going. The martini and vodka list keeps going and going. So many drinks so little time. The crowd is mostly trendy yuppie types, but I felt comfortable going there. I was given primo service even though I didn't remotely come close to fitting into the general crowd. Dress to impress at this place. Leave the jeans and Hollister T-shirt at home and I promise you will be singled out and provided great service. The servers even brought me food until last call which is odd since so many bars stop serving food at midnight.Martinis with a smile
I love martinis and I love bars that I can walk to with little to no effort. The Chapel fits the bill? now. I live a few paces from The Chapel but there was a period of time that I refused to go there because the service was so atrocious. I am happy to report that I believe that era has come to an end. The last two times I have been to The Chapel I have had great service! The wait staff even smiled. I think things are on the up and up for The Chapel.Unaccetable service. What happened?
I became a fan of the Chapel in 2001. They had excellent service, and had a loyal following of low key locals. Throughout the years, I have hosted many parties at the Chapel, from engagement parties, wedding after parties, birthdays, and happy hour gatherings.I love Chapel!
I've only been here once but can't wait to go back!! This place had such a fun atmosphere on a busy Friday night. The music was great (I'm a huge electronica/trance fan!) and the martini selection was amazing! Even the bar service was fast...always a plus :)Chapel = worst of seattle
The drinks are weak and over priced. The staff is awful it's as if they can't be bothered and no matter what you tip they act as if they should be tipped over 20% for the bad service with an attitude they serve up. I'd choose Sizzler over Chapel.Love it
I love the atmosphere - white seating, high ceiling and bartop. I'm not a big fan of most of the menu drinks, but some are really good. The pineapple is just pineapple infused vodka and I recommend. Be nice to the bartenders and they will be nice to you. The cheese plate is excellent as well.Amazing Staff, Drinks, Music and Performance
I have been going to The Chapel for years and have always enjoyed the space. It seems as though it is transitioning now and just getting better. The staff is friendly and fast, the music is better everytime I stop in and fire performers every Friday night? AMAZING. I would recommend this bar to anyone!Violent Staff
A friend and I stopped in for a drink Sunday 10/25/09. I had a beer and my friend had a cocktail. The cocktail was quite good and my friend ordered a second one but from a different bartender. The second bartender a bit rude, dismissive and the drink was bitter and undrinkable. When the first bartender came around we explained the situation. He walked over to the second bartender and while looking directly at me told him that I had complained. The two bartenders, young, muscled guys in Affliction tshirts, came over to us and got very hostile and threw the check at us. They made gestures like they wanted to fight. It was the most ridiculous treatment I have ever experience at any place of business. I don't know if these bartenders were drunk or high or just didn't appreciate customers interrupting their conversation with their friends at the end of the bar, but if you go Chapel, you may be threaten by the staff or worse.Weak
Weak to inconsistent staff, over priced drinks, not really bad but nothing to write home about.Worldwide > United States > Seattle, WA > Churches
