Awful Customer service. Really bad communication. Decent prices.
I also had a very bad experience with Carpet Mills. I have to agree with the previous review: customer service is awful. They can't commit to a date, won't show up and won't even call you to reschedule.Best Experience from start to finish!!!!!!
After shopping around for new flooring, Carpet Mills gave us the best quote and was very friendly and easy to deal with. Installers arrived on time for delivery of the flooring and then for the installation. They actually offered to come earlier if it would be more convient. The installers would very hard all day long, and were extremely helpful and polite. The finished product was beautiful! Highly recommend!!!HORRIBLE! Don't expect to be treated with respect from these people.....
I had the worst experience with this company. The salesman INSISTED on coming to do an estimate on his "day off". Then, when I requested to put a hold on my order (BEFORE he ordered the parts) so that I could get a few other estimates, he stuttered and stammered and was obviously very unhappy. They tried to cash my check anyway (luckily I put a stop payment). When they found out they weren't getting my check, the salesman, Erik, called my house and left a VERY disrespectful message stating how he did ME a favor by coming and doing and estimate on his day off and how I was clueless about how many square feet my living room is (DUH - that's why I wanted an estimate!) His message was so rude! I hadn't even decided against using them yet - I just wanted other estimates to make sure I was getting the best deal. Obviously, he felt threatened by that which makes me feel there are better deals out there. Anyway, he spoke to me in a way that I feel no one should ever speak to a potential customer when representing a company. I will make sure to tell anyone and everyone NOT to use these people just because the lack of respect. Do not cross them! They may leave you horrible messages that you wouldn't want your children to hear! I'm going elsewhere with my business. I'd even be happy to pay more for a company more respectful of their customers.Terrible customer service - not at all worth using - even at a low price
Start of install:VERY SHADY!!!!
I have been looking at installing laminate flooring for the past 6 mos. So, I've been shopping around for awhile. Well, one day I received a flyer in the mail for Carpet Mills of America with a price of 2.99/sq ft installed. Yes, now I knew there had to be something wrong. But, I went to the store anyway to check it out. I was greeted by Erik - has a thick accent. He showed me the samples that were advertised and quickly wanted to set up an estimate appt. I figured it would be awhile, since we had already gone through multiple estimates at other places. But, no, they had an opening at 9am the next morning. Erik shows up at my door. Okay, I'm thinking this is too wierd, do they not have any one else working for them? Or is this a one man show. Still not feeling very comfortable I searched the internet ( while he was doing the estimate) and found they had numerous complaints about them. I quickly cut the visit short, telling him I was still looking around. He started telling me he has the best prices and the quickest installs around. He continued to call my house 4 times over the next three days leaving nasty msgs about how I had wasted his time and the fact that I would not find a cheaper price. Obviously, I didn't return his call. Please run away, it's scary this guy knows where I live.....5 Stars so far! (post #1)
We just signed contract with this company and I was going online to see if they had a website. I found these reviews and was shocked! We found the local salesman to be quite friendly and supportive. He listened to us, asked questions, offered several examples and not once discounted any opinions we had. The fact that we were given a same day estimate made us really really happy! We had already shopped around and were the most pleased with CMA's customer service as well as service details. We were very disheartened after shopping and even considering doing it ourselves but when we went to CMA, we got a fair estimate and b/c of the support and detailed information we were given, we signed a contract the same day. I read the other reviews and I really think there are some pretty lofty expectations out there. This is construction/service industry...you will deal with accents, time frames, supplies and ordering, as well as liability.; you cant understand someone then you need to ask again, not judge them for their accent, you dont like that if baseboards or cable outlets are chipped or broken they aren't responsible ...unplug your own stuff and rip off your own base boards....those things are listed in the contract that you were to have READ before YOU SIGNED IT! I have every confidence out job wil be done how we want and way more time efficient than if we had done it ourselves! I will post again after we are done! We hope to use them again for future projects!Worldwide > United States > Round Rock, TX > Rugs & Carpets
