A must try
I have been a costumer at Buon Amici for the last 5 years and they never cease to amaze me. Don?t be fooled by the location or the size, they offer impeccable service along with a mouth watering cuisine. Dining at Buon Amici is like...Ridiculous place
The reviews of this restaurant had to be written by staff and not patrons. Go by any time on any day and you will see that it is the least populated place in the area. Why? For 4 cheese ravioli "special" (AKA cheese ravioli) you will...BuonAmici
My idea of a great place for dining is not only the quality of food, but also the atmosphere, ambiance and courtesy of staff, etc.good
New York City has many places ti eat as you know, but a lot of the time you can come across a very good place that will blow you away, it may be something as simple as a pasta dish.Great little place with a home feeling
I overheard a woman sitting next to me say... " I had to check in the kitchen to make sure my Grandmother wasn't back there!!!" Honestly, she was right! The food was great... A small place but it has a feeling like you are sitting at home with your family. I live in the neighborhood and this place is a great new addition. I would definitely recommend checking it out!Best Kept Secret Downtown
I felt like I walked into a friends home. The owners made me feel like I knew them all my life. The ambiance is warm and the food is DELICIOUS!!!Hidden little gem!
This place serves up standard Italian cuisine with a huge sincere punch! I stumbled upon it one night and when I walked in, I was welcomed with so many smiles, I thought I was home. A quaint little place with budding flowers on each table and Sinatra serenading me and my stuffed shrooms..which are to die for. I had the Chicken Picatta. I wanted to lick my plate. My friend had the pork chop broiled with cherry peppers. This thing is a monster packed with flavor. I left seriously satisfied with money left in my pockets. South street seaport needed a place like this!Charming Italian in the Neighborhood
Pat and Mike make you feel right at home here. Had brunch here, again today. Brunch is a fairly recent addition at Buon'Amici. It is one of the best values in the neighborhood. My friend had the seafood omelet, I had the eggs florentine. They have really good bread here! I have also been here for dinner and lunch. One time I had a pasta/mushroom special that Pat suggested. Pat will always guide you in the right direction! The atmosphere is small and cozy (even better when the TV in the bar area is OFF). There is always Italian music playing which adds to the ambience.Forget Little Italy. Go to Buon Amici!
Welcome addition to the Seaport. Classic , old school Italian menu . Reasonably priced. Great , friendly atmosphere. Food is delicious. Portions are generous My wife and I have become regulars. Check it out and you will be sure to go back again and again. So worth it!
One (1) word defines this place . . . GREAT. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, great location, great owners, great location / neighborhood and great prices! Just went with a group of nine (9) for a friend's birthday and everyone loved it. Excellent menu with plenty of options. Rave reviews on the pork chop, the penne alla vodka, lasagna, chicken parm AND the meatballs!! Very good and inexpensive wine list too. There is a really cool wine bar around the block for pre dinner cocktails and a fun bar right next door. Well worth the trip!!!!!Delicious Food
This is my fave Italian restaurant in NYC b/c of the owners! They're such sweet ppl.! & The food is absolutely wonderful! Definitely doesn't taste generic! The artisanal pastas & crisp, but soft, bread are delicious! I've never had a glass of wine or a cocktail @ Buon Amici that I didn't love either!Excellent neighborhood restaurant.
I tried out this place after reading the reviews of others on citysearch. It is exactly how they describe it. The food is truly solid. At the start of the meal, the bread given was toasted nice and crispy. The entrees that we had was the porkchop, lobster fra diavalo and the osso buco. All were cooked very well. The porkchop was a thick cut slab that was perfectly cook. Very Juicy with a very cheesy potato pancake and stir fried spinach. The osso buco was soft and tender with a very well prepared. The lobster was just barely cooked through. The timing of the chef is very good. If you live in the area, this restaurant is definitely worth a go.The Best Italian Restaurant in the Downtown Area -- It's a Must!
Folks, you've just got to try this place. The food's great -- real homestyle, oldstyle Italian dishes. The people who own it feel like family and anyone and everyone that comes in is family too! I live the in the area and there are lots of new places cropping up around us, but if you are in the mood for hearty, tasty, Italian dishes, this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed. The best Italian place to eat in Manhattan!
Maybe it's because I am good family friends and neighbors with the owners, but I truly do love this restaurant. It's the only place where I can eat raviolis that aren't made by my mother. Their food and wine is fantastic and comforting, just sitting back with a glass of chianti and a plate of pesto gnocchi listening to dean martin in the background and you're back in Sicily. I love Pattie and Mike, they're great people and they always put the customer first, just how any restaurant should be ran. Love you guys!Worldwide > United States > New York, NY > Italian Restaurants
