Messy, Smell, Junk
I would never ever reccomend anyone o go to bulding 19 1/2 it is the worst possible place you would want to be. The store is always a mess, the people never ever can help you, and the quality of all the items are terrible. thier prices may be dirt cheap, but the cost of being there is too much. Unless you are somone who will do anything to get the lowest price, i would reommend never going here. You Get What You Pay For
Building 19 is really for die-hard bargin shoppers. For those of us who are looking for good quality at a good bargain - this is not the place to be. Sometimes you can find some good items at good prices but you have to look very hard and put up with the messy, dirty store and unhelpful foreign salespeople. The furniture is reasonably priced and seems to be good quality but they don't offer delivery services! If you're unable to do it yourself then you will end up paying someone more than the price of the item just to deliver it! I always get the feeling that I'm going to be replacing every item I buy within a short period of time - and that doesn't save me money in the long run at all!My wife's favorite place
It is centrally located at Rt . 3A. But one has to drive to the back of the buildings though. The place is messy. All the stuff are randomly arranged, or placed. But there are a lot of bargains hidden everywhere. Cheap, and dirt cheap. For example, one can find all the kitchen wares at 90% discount. Apply juice/cider at near-zero price. Shoes, clothings, you name it, they have them in store. The quality is not that great. But for some stuff, quality is not really that important. The staff is OK, but may be rude sometimes. The air is not good, it is like a Costco, but worse. But, hey, anything for a great bargain!Cheap prices, funny advertising, watch the quality
Self-deprecatingly humorous ads draw you into this bargain-filled store. The cheap prices keep you coming back.Although the prices are dirt cheap the experience is not enjoyable
Building 19 1/2 is in business because of one thing and one thing only, they have dirt cheap prices. However the store itself is a disaster. When i went to the store last the smell was terrible, i think it was somthing liek mold growth. Also it is pretty much a junk yard so if you find somthing you want then its a lucky day and you might as well take it. However the chances of finding somthign that you want which is not damaged in any way is slim to none. The only thing in the store that is somehow attractive is their famed pictures. If your walls are looking bare and you need somthing to be pu there are a filler It might be worth it to go there. You're a moron if you hate Building 19
I can't stand people who don't understand how a business model enables you to get low pricing. Yes, it's dirty and the people who work there may be retarded. Did you want software engineers assisting you with your purchases? Because they cost money, and stupid people and young people don't. You want a fancy brand new store that smells like pineapples and has fresh paint? Keeping your store looking brand new after 40+ years also costs money.Love This Place!
I love Building 19! I go to the one in Somerville at Assembly Square. I have purchased furniture and decorative items for my home....at rock bottom prices. I have a large distressed pine armoire on which I get many compliments, which I bought there for $250 (I had to replace one of the glass panes). It all depends on timing, but if you keep hitting it...you might find something you like.Hit-or-miss but when you hit you hit!
Great way to find random cool stuff at low prices. It can be kind of hit-or-miss, sometimes I go in there and everything is crap, but sometimes they have some really nice funky stuff VERY cheap. Their motto of "good stuff cheap" applies; sometimes they get nice designer stuff at slashed prices. Also they have furniture, rugs, etc. that you would find at department stores. A good place to check out as your first stop on the chance you will find what you are looking for for, like, a dollar.Worldwide > United States > Burlington, MA > Rugs & Carpets
