No Integrity - Don't Trust Budget Heating & Cooling

I was quoted a very good price by Paul at Budget Heating and Cooling for a new furnace. When the installation team came out, I was told that that removing my chimney was the only way to run heating ducts upstairs. I am quite sure that this is not the case and they simply wanted the easy way (at my $2k expense for chimney removal). I called the original salesman, who agreed to come back and brainstorm another way 2 weeks later. On the morning he was supposed to come out, I wall called by a man claiming to be his partner saying that they no longer wanted to do the job. This is just before winter and the old oil furnace is giving out.

Also, I was told that I was yelling at his team. This is absolutely not true - a lie to cover up for a job they simply didn't want to do.

After getting several other bids and opinions, I have come to believe that Budget Heating & Cooling simply did not want to honor their bid and looked for any way out of our verbal contract.

I just wish that I had gotten a signed contract first.

Do not use or trust Budget Heating and Cooling.
