Under Orange Lemon Ltd., Brookmore Apartments are nothing if not unscrupulous. As with the other units managed by this company, tenants are charged a non-refundable pet deposit. Why is this weird? Well, per California Civil Code 1950.5(m), there can be no such thing as a non-refundable deposit. Yet, Arbors et. al. charge tenants $200 for pets and that money is never returned. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
