Brighton Auto Clinic in Washington Square, Brookline, is the most incompetent and dishonest auto repair shop ever! A friend borrowed my car and got in an accident. I had it towed to the nearest garage--the BAC--where they said it had a broken axle and charged me $2800+ to fix it. But it kept leaking black oily substance onto the driver\'s side front hubcap, and 2 return visits yielded nothing but bogus explanations (\"the elements\" and \"splashed by a passing car\"). They said there was nothing wrong with the car. I finally took it to another mechanic who immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem--a broken caliper, which was leaking brake fluid into the brake pads, which were saturated with the stuff--he said it was an accident waiting to happen. The BAC also overcharged me $100 for the original \"repair,\" which at first I thought was an honest mistake but I now think was deliberate. I would give this place ZERO stars but I have to give at least one in order to post this review. Avoid this place like the plague!
