fresh flowers
I love walking by this place - they display some of their flowers on the sidewalk and they always look and smell incredible. The staff is very friendly and helpful and will let you browse around the shop and ask questions. Unlike most floral shops, this place displays their merchandise where customers can see it. I think this is great because you know what you're getting and there's no mystery like other shops where they go in the back and you get what you get. no parking here thought!

wonderful selection
I am hard pressed to decide if the best part of this shop is its location in the heart of Harvard Square right by the university, or its wide selection of exotic and seemingly local flowers. The coolest part of this shop is that they display their merchandise on the street so the smell sort of lures you in. The floor here always seems to be wet, which is kind of odd. There is also NO parking anywhere near here.

Bad attitude!
I went there because I thought they had a good reputation, but the woman who "helped" us was sour and nasty. I went to ask about bouquets for my wedding and maybe someone else there would have been just delightful, but this woman was completely uninterested. She was rude and condescending and we only spent 5 minutes with her! I'm happily taking my wedding dollars elsewhere. I'm pretty laid back and am not easily insulted, but my friend and I couldn't believe this woman's attitude! Just plain nasty!

Huge Variety, Locally Owned
After both good and poor experiences with this shop I pause to think that despite any "misses" I continue to come back for more. Yes, I have had a few experiences with flowers lasting not at long as I would have liked but I have also experienced fresh cut flowers from here lasting more than a week. On my most recent visit the staff took the time to explain how to properly cut the variety I chose to ensure I would get the most from them. This is something that I have not found in many other florists.

The best florist in the entire Boston area; .
Best florist in the entire Boston area....discovered when I was at Harvard...I now call in from New York for deliveries to my elder mother in Boston....always polite,. timely deliveries. and absolutely gorgeous arrangements...I've used other florists in Boston...but no one compares to Brattle....they are consistent and generous and creative ....I am always asked "where did you get those beautiful flowers"....and I will continue to use them .....

Bad customer service
I called for a quote on a dozen flowers for delivery, but the amount of flowers that were delivered was different then what I was quoted so I called to talk to the person in charge and she said that the person that gave me the quote was a temp. employee and that the quote was incorrect. I told her that you should make sure that whomever is answering your phone should make sure that they are giving the correct quote to customers.Worldwide > United States > Melrose, MA > Flowers & Gifts
