Quirky barbeque place still out by itself...
I always consider this the top end of Rockwall myself, but it is actually Lavon on the outskirts of Nevada. This is old barn wood style stand alone building with windmills out front... You can't miss it... It sits at the intersection of Hwy 205 and Hwy 78 on the southwest corner of Hwy 205. For years, this was the only restaurant out here. I like their meats here... Good brisket and sausage. Sauce is twangy. Reasonable pricing.

Big Daddy's Barbecue
Good stuff! I like the atmosphere and the meat. I'm from Kansas City, so I'm a BBQ snob, but this place gets high marks on quality, has fair prices, and it's not just another cookie-cutter restaurant with employees from off the street. It's privately owned and has a lot of local flair.

Real Country Atmosphere
This is great place to stop to get the food when heading out of town on a trip. The atmosphere is great if you want to eat in as well. It just make you feel relaxed - comfort food.

The best BBQ by far!! Not a very nice location or anything. Just a hole in the wall type of establishment but the food is great and the service can't be beat.

Best Little Secret in Dallas
This place is TYTE, I always take my boys there on B'Dayz, fine food, awesome service, just tell'm itz your B'Day if you want a Picture with some Angels !!! DON"T forget to tip em DUDE !!!

Darn Good BBQ
I don't just rate BBQ places on the meat and sauce. That's important, but I also want good sides. Big Daddy's has a nice selection. I had a chopped beef sandwich with corn on the cob and coleslaw. It was delish. I do want to warn you that the sauce was on the thick and sweet side, so if you prefer yours with more of a tang you might be disappointed. I loved it. The place is clean but kitschy (A little overdone on the J.R. memorabilia), the staff friendly and helpful.
