No excuses
Bally's is right on Route 22, so you have no excuse to skip a workout! You have to pass by here on your way home from work anyway, so just stop in. The staff is competent, the machines are aplenty, the regulars are friendly. Bally's is worth the price. If you're not convinced, they will give you a tour and probably a free week. Try it out.

Pool closed for days- no hope in sight
I just joined a few days ago and every single day the pool has been closed- I've been told open tomorrow and despite my phone calls, it's still closed with more open tomorrow promises.

Been a member for years...
This is an updated review, which I promised if there was improvement. Last March I gave Bally's two stars - as a longterm member I noticed a serious six month decline in maintenance with machines out of service for weeks (sometimes months) at a time, chronic pool closings and serious issues in locker room hygiene. In addition the new Bally's TV *blared* the same ten videos and two ads at concert volume forcing many to bring ipods. Were it not for a mostly friendly staff, a good variety of machines for a workout, an indoor track, and some decent classes to boot, the review could've been more scathing. Well - some good news. Popular manager Geri has returned - and things have noticeably improved. Machines get repaired quickly, and it's been months since the pool was closed unexpectedly. Bally's TV volume is now at half the level and the video rotation has expanded exponentially. The only two nicks I'd point out is that locker room sanitation tends to vary - still on and off iss

Bally Total Fitness is great!
I joined Bally's in the beginning of summer. I am happy with the maintenance and staff. The pool is open every day and life guard is on duty. The staff couldn't be any more friendlier.Worldwide > United States > Irvington, NJ > Professional Sports
