Great staff...great personal trainers...fairly new equipment and lots of parking but when I finished my work outs and went downstairs...holy jebbers!!! The pool was clean, the whirlpool was clean, the showers were alright but if you're looking to steam or sauna after your work out think twice. I walked into the steam and a woman was applying conditioner to her hair so I went next door to the sauna....I couldn't believe it. Everyone had their towels on the rack in front of the hot rocks; one guy pulled up a chair, put his sweaty shirt on it, his socks, his towel, all to dry then went into the steam!!! The next day some old guy put his towel over the rocks until it was smoldering....I think I'll pass on this one until management ups it's standards a bit. AllisonReduced the therapudic value of whirlpools
Ii have been a member since1989 at that time when using the whirlpool I and others would first look at the temp gauges in the top of the spa skimmers and 95% of us would chose the hotter ones the ones that were 104 degrees. Since about 6 months ago ballys management lowered the temps to 102 (cost saving) thereby reducing the therapeutic.value. The maintenance man said that management said not to run the pool temp over 80 the whirlpool temp over 102. This wasn't posted the members we not notified. La Fitness runs it's whirlpool at 104-105. When management contacted me that said that the US sports and fitness center advised them to run there spas at 102. When I contacted them they said that they give a high and low temp the high being 104, so they lied to me. If you know about spas temp you know that you will never get the benefits at 102 that you get at 104. Not only that when I checked the whirlpool temp with a certified refrigeration thermometer that temp read only 100 degrees so they don't even runs the temp at the temperature whcih they state they do They are deceiving all there membersBallys ruined my credit
