Swain Sailing School and Yacht Charters is an accredited training facility of the foremost sailing associations in the US and British Virgin Islands, offering sailing certification courses in Basic Keelboat (Learn to Sail), Live Aboard Cruising, Cruising Catamaran, Fast Track to Bareboating, Coastal Passage Making/Advanced Coastal Cruising, and Coastal Navigation as well as customized courses in performance sailing and racing. SSS also offers the International Bareboat Skippers Certification for both sailing and power boating. Our sailing school in Newport Rhode Island is operated out of Longwharf Marina, a full-service marina located in downtown historic Newport.
