The nurse co-ordinator will usually have some extra training in the treatment of infertility and may also have had some training in counselling. She is responsible for co-ordinating the schedule of treatment for all the patients at the clinic, and also leads the team of infertility nurses. These are the people who provide the injections, take the blood tests, assist with the different procedures and answer all your questions and give you advice - and comfort - when things go wrong.
