Dr. Karas is a board certified adult advance practice and gerontological nurse in a clinical primary care practice; long term care and home care settings. She has more than 27 years of diverse and successful nursing work experience.

She has served as chairman of the Content Expert Panel for the national gerontological nurse board certification exam with the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
She is the owner of NP Healthcare & Associates and she collaborates with Steven C. Fox, D.O specializing in Geriatric and Disability Medicine. She is dedicated to providing natural healthy care to patients in a comfortable private setting to improve and regain their health. She has served as adjunct faculty member at Wm. Harper College as an educator and program coordinator of the Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program. Dr. Karas is a recipient of the Certificate of Recognition for outstanding performance in Clinical Education at the Finch University of Health Sciences - Chicago Medical School. She received educational honors in Phi Theta Kappa – Wm. R Harper College; Alpha Delta Omega – Human Services Honor Society and currently a member of Sigma Theta Tau – International Honor Society of Nursing.

Dr. Debbie provides natural healthy care through supplementing healthy living with Arbonne Natural Health and Skin Care products as well as Metagenics Health supplements.
