Naudain Academy has been providing the children ages 18 months - 6 years of southern NJ with a strong academic foundation for over 35 years. The school focuses on the social and emotional development of the whole child. All lessons are according to Montessori instructional methods. Children are taught so that each child can reach his or her fullest potential.
School is open year around from 7:30 - 6:00 with a Summer Enrichment Program.
History
Established in 1977
The beginnings of Naudain Academy started when I opened the Cherryford Montessori Children's House in 1977. It was housed at a day camp in Medford. Three years later, we rented classrooms in Medford Lakes where the enrollment continued to grow to its capacity of 80 students. In consideration of the increased enrollment, I determined that the school should be in its own building.

During the summer of 1985, my husband, Richard Naudain, began construction of the current Naudain Academy, located in Voorhees, NJ. Naudain Academy officially opened its doors to students during the fall of 1985. Naudain Academy, as we know it today, is located on a 2-acre site which includes a playground and an amphitheater.

Growth has continued at Naudain Academy since it opened in 1977 and today it is recognized in the state of New Jersey as a leader in Montessori education.
Meet the Business Owner: Leddy N.
Mrs. Naudain will begin her 36th year as the administrator of Naudain Academy. She received a B.A. from Villanova University and diploma from Association Montessori International in 1975. She worked for Montessori School House (1975) and Montessori Child Development Center (1976). She started her own school in 1977. She remains active in AMS, AMI and NAMTA Montessori organizations. She and her husband, Dick, have been married for 36 years. They are the parents of Leddy K., Lauren and Brinley. They welcomed their first grandchild, Scarlett, in 2010. Her philanthropic efforts include contributions to various local and international organizations. Past volunteer efforts included work as a cheerleading coach. Although the daily operation of Naudain Academy remains her primary focus, Leddy still manages to find time for hobbies and sports. Mrs. Naudain is known for her love of children and commitment to Naudain Academy.
