Centre for Contemporary Dental Concepts: Trent Smallwood, DDS

Trent W. Smallwood, DDS, brings over 20 years of experience in cosmetic dentistry, general dentistry, and orthodontics to the Centre for Contemporary Dental Concepts, serving patients in the North East Corner of Warner and Kyrene, in Tempe, Arizona, and throughout Maricopa County.
Dr. Smallwood began his professional education at the University of Indiana in Bloomington. After earning his undergraduate degree, Dr. Smallwood enrolled in The Pacific Aesthetic Continuum, P.A.C-Live, a dental mentorship, and progress program, and completed specialized training in dental cosmetics. The next year, Dr. Smallwood completed his fellowship at the Fellowship Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics.
In 1997, Dr. Smallwood founded the Centre for Contemporary Dental Concepts, serving patients of all ages. As a cosmetic and general dentist, Dr. Smallwood loves spending one-on-one time with his patients and addressing their unique oral health concerns. He takes a specialized approach to patient education and incorporates modern technologies, including lasers and digital imaging, to make treatment quick, easy, and pain-free.
When Dr. Smallwood isn’t working with patients, you can find him writing about his professional experience or sharing his knowledge with others. Dr. Smallwood is an internationally renowned speaker on the topic of comprehensive aesthetic dentistry and is the author of the best-selling book, “Platinum Paradigm,” which aids dentists, ceramists, and patients in the art of smile design. 
In addition, Dr. Smallwood regularly provides consulting services to major dental manufacturers, laboratories, and his peers. He also serves as the official dentist of the prestigious Miss Arizona USA and Arizona United States pageants and the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League (IFL).
Dr. Smallwood has earned multiple awards throughout his career, including recognition for excellence in prosthodontics. Dr. Smallwood also serves as co-director with the Hornbrook Group and is an esthetic instructor for P.A.C-Live, as well as a premier provider and instructor for Invisalign®. Last, but certainly not least, Dr. Smallwood is the founder of the World Institute of Dental Esthetics.
On a personal level, Dr. Smallwood loves contributing his time to the community and is the proud father of two beautiful twin daughters. He welcomes any man or woman seeking general or cosmetic dentistry in the Tempe area to the Centre for Contemporary Dental Concepts.
