You may shop at Reitmans with complete confidence. If there are any issues, you merely need to contact the head office and they will immediately resolve the situation to your satisfaction. Reitmans is a dependable, reliable brand on so many levels. I had a difficult time when I attempted to return some merchandise to the Vaudreuil location. My merchandise had been purchased in a Pointe-Claire Reitmans location, and I had been advised by the Pointe-Claire staff that returning the merchandise to another Reitmans location would not be a problem ("any location in Canada"). The articles I attempted to return were brand-new, unworn, with original tags upon them and I was in possession of my receipt from Pointe-Claire. Unfortunately, the store manager in Vaudreuil would not allow me to make the return and refused to refund my money. She informed me there was a problem with the "codes on the merchandise tags" versus the codes on the receipt I had (something about them not matching up properly) which made it impossible for her to process the return. I eventually left the store with my returns unprocessed, drove to Pointe-Claire, and successfully managed to make my returns / reimbursements there. Following this incident, which took place on September 28, 2012, I complained to Reitmans head office via their website. The company's response was IMMEDIATE, and they telephoned me the SAME DAY at home to apologize for the incident and let me know that the "third-key" manager in question had not acted in accordance with their company policy. They said they would look into the incident. I was EXTREMELY SATISFIED with the response of the Reitmans head office to my complaint. It is unfortunate that the Vaudreuil store is getting off to a bad start, however, I have full confidence that the situation will be addressed. Reitmans is a TERRIFIC brand, and the response I recieved from their head office subsequent to my complaint only served to solidify my loyalty to the brand.
