I love the classes here. Where else can you train for aerial silks, then get down on some Xtreme boxing? I get an awesome workout while learning some very cool skills! All of my friends who have come to Vegas, I have taken to check out the aerial silks and poles classes at Shine. The classes are so memorable that it is a really neat place to go as a treat on a vacation, but they are also affordable (as you buy packages of classes) so its totally do-able to use as your main gym. One thing I will say about it is that you will not get bored working out. The cardio classes like dance (zumba, ballet, contemporary, etc) and Xtreme boxing are intense cardio and the yoga, anti gravity yoga, stretch and tone, and flexiblity class are awesome for core strength and stretching. the poles and aerial silks are very effective for strength. The best part about this gym is the people. All of the instructors know my name and something about me. They even learn the names of my friends who come to try the classes while visiting. It is a very community, positive and encouraging environment. Perfect to workout in!

I tried Shine Alternative Fitness once and I've been back plenty of times since then. I agree with the other reviewer: things are different at Shine. I also belong to a large franchise gym in Vegas and I'm not a huge fan. It is often much too crowded and I feel like I'm just a number to the staff. It actually is motivating to go to the gym because of the community there. At Shine, they actually know me by my first name. I love that. It keeps me motivated to actually do well because Shine actually cares about you. Not only do I get a great work out while I'm there... I get a great sense of community.

Shine is by far the coolest gym I have ever been too. It is not your typical weights and treadmills gym. Here there are no free areas it is all classes but it is all classes taught by Cirque performers. You are get top quality instruction and learning information as you go about your body. My favorites there are ANTIGRAVITY Yoga and Xtreme Boxing. They do not offer memberships instead you pay by purchasing classes.
