Hair Saloon
This is a very nice Saloon.The prices are very high.The quilty of work is not up to pare for the prices they charge.The work is okay but have been to other places for 1/4 the money and had as good of service.If your not on a budget this place is for you.It's not in mine.

I read the last review and had to sign up for this service to tell a different experience. I randomly walked into the salon in 1998(Truth be told there were two attractive women working and I was single) Only lovely women and happy cute gay men cut my hair. They had both. My girl is Claudia and I love her. I live in Calabasas and have tried a total of 8 salons but none came close to Matiz. The stylists are special people who create a fun place to spend an hour. Matiz, offers exceptional service, friendship and a great stylist. The former owner is a special guy and still cuts hair if your lucky enought. The new owner takes pride in her business and Matiz has been left in great hands. As basic as my hair is no-one north of this salon gets it done like Claudia. Like me many drive long distances for Matiz Salon. I find them reasonably priced. Give them a shot. There is a beutiful courtyard on top to relax in and a quaint coffee shop sits next door to help you wake up. (Zoe's)I hope m

Best Salon in Ventura
Matiz may just be the best salon in Ventura. They have an excellent staff of hairstylist that are willing to try new things and never just do your boring straight across cut like you would get at a major chain. They are a full service salon, so expect to pay for it, but it is well worth the extra money you pay.

Satisified Customer
I've been going to Matiz for about 8 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. The service there is great, I refer everyone I can, and I've never had a bad experience. It's a great place to relax and get a great hair cut. Claudia is my stylist and she is wonderful! The people there are very friendly, and they all make sure you have a comfortable experience while you are there. You get what you pay for and if you want quality this is the place to go.

Terrible Style with Sally
I will never go back to Matiz. I was a bridesmaid for my sisters wedding and needed a updo hairsyle. I went to a person named Sally. She did a awful job on my hair. She also did my two other sisters hair and she did a terrible job to them too. They actually went home and redid their hair. The salon looked nice but the people did not seem friendly. She seemed not genuine and it was a uncomfortable experience. I think she tries to fit as many people in her day as possible in order to squeeze in lots of clients. There was nothing special about her abilities. I have thick hair and she said I couldn't do a updo because my hair was too thick. She did some low hair syle that I thought looked terrible. I was uncomfortable the whole day, besides the fact that I have tons of professional pictures that will remind of Matiz and Sally. I will never go to the salon again. I found a really great hair sylist named Ralph at Michael Kelly Salon.Worldwide > United States > Ventura, CA > Beauty Salons and Services
