Try somewhere else

They have gone down hill since the new owners have taken over. They are slow and disrespectful. They feel they have us over a barrel so we are not to say anything about their service. From the crane not in operation at all times to not being able to pull your boat from the water after 2:00pm yes 2:00 pm. So you have to fight for a docking spot that is full. If you decide to dock your boat here all I have to say is GOOD LUCK.

Could Care Less About Service

I have been meaning to write a letter for some time...
I keep my boat here but am looking for an alternative place. Overall this outfit is skimping on maintenance and service while trying to expand their wet-dock slip numbers. Here are some specifics: First: you can't get to your boat after 5 PM. They lock all the gates. No summertime hours, nada. Also, you can't get to your boat in the Am because they don't open until 8 Am, if they are ontime. Second: They have a lift, which when working is great, except that sometimes you feel like you have to hunt the empoyees down to get them to pull your boat. They shut the lift down if there is more than 10 mph of wind, so again you are SOL if the wind is blowing moderately - which is most afternoons at Channel Islands Landing. I'm not sure if they even have a wind guage, it seems to be at the descretion of the employees, who sometimes have more interesting things to watch on the internet. Moreover there is a lack of care or concern from employees that you are waiting to get in or out of the water, or that you had your weekend planned around boating and they just felt like shutting down the lift early. I suspect the root of the problem is that its a top down thing, the employees get treated like dirt (by mgmt.) and they pass along the sentiment to the customers.
