We've been trying to contact Florek homes for over 3 months now to get home repairs done on our new home. The one-year warranty is supposed to expire this month and we are concerned that the builder is not going to respond to us. We are thinking about contacting the attorney general and a real estate attorney. As far as the work that we need fixed, the basement is the biggest concern. We had Florek finish our basement and they failed to insulate it and failed to install any air return vents. According to St. Clair county code, this is required. We have other issues upstairs in the main part of the house that could easily be repaired, but the basement is the biggest problem. I'm sure all of this work would only take a day to complete. We'd simply like to get it fixed or be given the money to have it fixed by other contractors, as we've already gotten quotes on all of it. Florek has failed to return our calls, messages, correspondence, etc. And now their fax no longer works, their website is down, and their voicemail is full. Thank goodness we know where the builder lives as that is our next attempt with communication.
