I called this company for an estimate to get a kitchen remodel due to damage from a bad dishwasher installation with every intention of having the work completed. The secretary, his wife Beth, gave me a lecture on how the estimate may or may not be free depending on whether or not I would commit to having the work done, citing one of their customers who lived on Old Buckingham Road who has called for 6 estimates and has not committed to any of the work to date. She then carried on about how knowledgeable her husband was and how he could work with the insurance companies, especially with pricing because just last week, their drywall costs alone had gone up 20% and that I would have to make a payment up front, then another payment after the cabinet installation etc. She carried on for 10 minutes and when I was able to finally get a word in edgewise to tell her that I understood the construction industry because I worked for a contractor, she replied that since I knew so much, I should have him do the work and handle the job myself!!! If I am going to spend in excess of $15,000 on a home project, I would expect to be treated with courtesy and consideration. If you feel the same, I highly recommend calling another contractor!
