Scottish Ale and Shephard's Pie, what more do you need?
I've been to this pub many times and always love ordering their Shephard's Pie with a yummy Scottish Ale! This was my husband's choice for place to eat on his Birthday as well. You can't beat the old pub atmosphere, home cooking and genuinely warm service.

I know too much...
I STRONGLY recommend NOT eating here. They re-use the lemons from the fish-n-chips on drinks later in the evening. I have seen the owner (multiple times) pull rolls out of the trash, wash them off, and re-serve them to guests. It is a fun place to drink - but you really shouldn't eat there.

England is closer than you think...
I've gone to the Penny Lane as a guy's night out kind of thing, and also with my girlfriend, and it's great fun either way. The food is authentic, with an excellent fish fry. Selection of beers is great, and they have hard cider which makes me happy. Only 2 pool tables but that means a more relaxing atmosphere. Speaking of which the walls are covered with English memorabilia and Beatles pictures and it just feels really comfortable. One of my favorite places in Richmond.

Fantastic Pub
