CUSTOMERS BEWARE!

I visited The Alley Bar on 4/16/10 with a friend. Upon arriving at the bar, we each both purchased one drink. I used my debit card to purchase a Cranberry Vodka. My friend also purchased a drink using her debit card. Neither of us were offered receipts, and the bartender continued onto serving other customers. Later on, I purchased another Cranberry Vodka from a different bartender. Again, I was not offered a receipt.

Upon reviewing my bank statement, I noticed that I have two charges on my account, one charge is for $27.50 and the other is for $4.75. I called and spoke with the general manager on 4/19/10 regarding the $27.50 charge. He stated that he would review his receipts and get back to me. After not hearing from him, I called the bar again on 4/20/10 and spoke with a different manager. She took my name and number and said that she would have the general manager call me. After still not hearing back from the general manager, I called AGAIN on 4/21/10 and spoke with him regarding the excessive charge on my account. His response was that his receipts show a number of drinks purchased all within a 15 minute time period, and that I could bring in a signed receipt if I wanted to dispute the $27.50. I told him that neither my friend nor I were even offered receipts that night. He then stated that he didn't know how many people I was there with that night. I informed him that I was there with only one other friend, and we each bought just one drink each when we first arrived at the bar. Then, he offered me a $25 gift card, but I stated to him that I have no intentions of going back to The Alley Bar after being wrongly charged.
