Dr. Clipsham is FANTASTIC! I'm only giving this clinic 5 stars because of him. Below are the details. ........................................................................................................................................................................ I was referred to this clinic by my brother who took his dogs here for holistic treatment. I've been taking my elderly cat here since 2008 for chronic constipation, and have become a regular here since. I started with the holistic approach accompanied by enemas and a laxative which was helping in the early stages, but then my cat progressively got worse. The holistic Doctor who practiced here retired and so I saw various different Doctors here. My cat was diagnosed improperly by the various Doctors as her condition worsened. The frequent visits to the clinic and treatments were costing a lot of money and took a lot of my time. The treatments my cat received while at the clinic always worked for short term relief , but it was stressful on my cat and she remained unstable. My cat was there almost every week. At this point, one of the various Doctors my cat saw at Sherman Oaks Vet group referred me to a Specialist at (Veterinary Specialists of the Valley). The Doctor there gave my cat an ultrasound, took more blood tests, and wanted to do surgery on my frail 18 year old cat and said that would solve the problem. The tests and consultation here were Very Expensive. I did not think my cat would survive the surgery, plus I couldn t afford it, $3000 + they said. I refused the surgery for my cat. The Doctor then prescribed more drugs in too small of a dose. While at the clinic, I told him to give her an enema since my cat was so backed up. He tried twice and was unsuccessful. I was very disappointed with my experience here. The next day I took my cat back to Sherman Oaks Veterinary Group and found Dr. Clipsham. This was my first time seeing him and I was very impressed with his knowledge. His approach gave me hope that we could help my cat. He has more experience than most Doctors there. He took his time explaining to me the treatment options and gave my cat an enema which was successful right away. He did the appropriate research, consulted with specialists and changed the dosage on the medicine to the correct amounts. Now my cat s condition is stable and has been for the longest time in over a year. Dr. Clipsham has been a blessing in my life and in the care of my cat. He is a GREAT Doctor who takes a hands on approach and truly cares about his patients and clients. I highly recommended him to my family and friends. Thank you Dr. Clipsham!
