Raymond Taetle, MD

Dr. Taetle has earned many honors including an MD with distinction and memberships in Phi Eta Sigma; Phi Beta Kappa; Phi Kappa Phi; Phi Kappa Phi Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement; George B. Angell Scholar; Alpha Omega Alpha; president of the Interns and Residents Association, University of California, San Diego; and Fellow, American College of Physicians.

He is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, the Arizona Clinical Oncology Society, Southwest Oncology Group, Pima County Medical Society and American College of Physicians, and serves as an associate affiliate physician for Children's Clinics for Rehabilitative Services.

He has served as an advisor to the National Cancer Institute and on its Experimental Therapeutics Study Section; as an advisor to the American Cancer Society; and on the editorial boards of several journals. Dr. Taetle holds several U.S. patents, including: No. 5,439,936, lIIudinAnalogs Useful as Antitumor Agents; No. 5,439,942, Method of Treating Certain Tumors Using lIIudinAnalogs; No. 5,523,490, lIIudinAnalogs; No. 5,563,176, lIIudinAnalogs Useful as Anti-tumor Agents; and European Patent No. 0565519, lIIudinAnalogs as Anti-tumor Agents. He is also widely published in a variety of peer-reviewed and other medical journals.
