Life of Riley offers a wonderful selection of authentic Irish clothing, pottery, crystal and lore. They carry hand knit fisherman's sweaters for adults and children, Beleek crystal and china, and charming Irish novelty items, shirts, flags, etc. The staff is warm and helpful, and will entertain you with stories and folklore. They are tucked away on Route One next to Lovely Nails and Forever Tan, so don't miss them. Great for baby gifts, wedding gifts, etc.

Very nice!
I haven't been there for a few months, but whenever I need gift for an Irishman, humorous or traditional, or a decor for the home, even a special piece of jewelry, this place is perfect. It's run by true Irish and you can even get your family name made up and framed! The prices are no more expensive than any other traditional gift shop.

Irish lady with attitude!
I was very unhappy by the way the owner treats me. That right, it’s not even the first time I went in there and I was given an attitude. Come on, I am trying to give her a business, but when she is so rude and impolite, it makes me NOT want to buy anything from there! I did not even do or say anything wrong…. so how can she judge me! I have heard from a couple people in town that they do not like the way they are treated as well. I will GLADLY take my business up to the Irish shop in mystic! DO NOT GIVE HER THE BUSINESS!

Great store!
I was very impressed with the new, larger store located in Old Saybrook.The owner was so helpful with all my needs. It was also nice to know that she had actually traveled to Ireland. Great stories about kissing the Blarney Stone & all her travels.

Life Of Riley Irish Imports needs a lesson in the basics
I was not even acknowledged when I visited the store one Saturday about 2 weeks ago. There were 2 employees present, and not more than 2 other patrons. The inventory was interesting, however, I would have liked to have had more information on some of the pieces. Due to the lack in customer service, I took my money to Mystic and and made a rather large purchase.

Fabulous
I was very excited to see The Life of Riley has moved across the street to a larger location! (881 Boston Post Rd.) The old store was cute, but this new one is much larger and has more new stock that I love. I start early with Christmas shopping, but I left plenty at the store for everyone else! Make sure to check out the new celtic and irish beads, and all the new jewelry. The owner took the time to show me all the new items and I can't wait for my friends and family to open their gifts.
