Good food but So-So Service
Like the title says, they have good food.. had the pad thai and satay.. which both were good... however the service was really slow and the server might have been new because she didn't know what she was doing (didn't know how to split a bill for a group)favorite
This is one of my favorite lunch spots. The service is really fast and you get to pick how spicy you would like your food. The hot and sour soup is awesome. The prices are great too.spicy taste of thai
Reasonably priced spicy Thai food. Every bite makes you crave more. The soup has a sweet spicy taste, and the chips are great for dipping. My favorite is shrimp pad se cu.Great food
I love this place... awesome food!!! We have always ordered take out and it has always been hot and very large portions! The owner is always at the restaurant. Not impressed
I have tried different Thai restaurants and this one is a disappointment. The food is average and they have a tendency to make my dishes very spicy when I specifically order them "mild". Some were so spicy we couldn't eat it! The only item I would recommend is the BBQ beef with chilli sauce but beware as it can be very spicy, as we learnt.the best thai food ever! (in michigan)
I used to live in thailand, and the only thing that makes me less homesick is eating at Bangkok Cuisine. I went to college in kalamazoo, and my friends and i used to drive out for the day just to eat in rochester's bc (three hours away!) in case you're an idiot, thai food is supposed to be spicy and if you can't handle it rochester has a plethora of chinese restaurants you should stick to. if you really want authentic thai food in the detroit are, though, you should head to one of the several bangkok cuisines.User review by monica_
The seating was fast. Although I would recommend the thai food at Bangkok Cuisine, the service is by far the un-friendliest that I have ever experienced. The service was very hasty and I felt rushed and, in a sense, unwelcomed by it. The parking is also designed behind the building, so that you have to walk basically the whole perimeter of the building in order to get inside- this is especially inconvinient. The great food is not worth the horrible service!
I went to Bangkok Cuisine in Rochester Hills with my girlfriend and my son. When we first entered the restaurant, the hostess asked us: "How can I help you?" rather than the normal, "Hi. How many?" or "Smoking or non?" restaurant question. This made us feel rather unwelcomed, but we chose to dine anyway. When we sat down, our waitress came over and brought us two waters and nothing for my son. Instead of asking us if we would like something else to drink, she simply said: "Are you ready to order?" We needed a minute and we told her so. After we decided she came over and I began to place my order. In the middle of my order, she screamed: "OH MY GOSH!!" and turned her head to the back kitchen and walked away from our table - right in the middle of our order! We were both in shock. She came back to our table, no apology or anything, and proceeded as if everything was normal. What happened in the kitchen to upset her so much, neither of us are sure. After we received our food, which was brought to us by another server, my girlfriend was not happy with her salad. When our waitress came over and she politely told her that she wasn't happy and would like something else, the waitress said nothing but only rolled her eyes and huffed away. When my girlfriend's second meal arrived, the slammed the plate down and again said nothing. We had to wait for water refills and boxes, which were both brought by other, more friendly servers. When she finally brought our check, she said nothing again. We are both servers ourselves and she really screwed herself by giving us horrible service. When we left the restaurant, we noticed that we had forgotten our boxes. My girlfriend went back into the store, and asked the waitress if we had forgotten out boxes. She looked at her and said, "How would I know? I haven't even been over to your table yet!" and huffed away once again. The food was great, but I would NEVER return.Yum
The food here is So Good...and the portions are huge...I ordered medium spice and it was pretty hot...so if you can't handle the heat order mild. I have been coming here off and on for 10 years. The quality has always been good. It is better than any other similar restaurant in the area.Very rude service
The food here is average at best. The service, however, is horrendous. My family and I were treated rudely, requests were ignored and/or forgotten and no apology was offered at any point. When we finally brought up the issues to the "manager" the attitude was simply unconcerned. We have never felt so unwelcome as customers anywhere.Bangkok
