Martin Pierce is a designer of custom door handles and luxury door hardware for the home and hospitality sector. As a sculptor and artist, he has steered his company, Martin Pierce Hardware to create a diverse and unique collection of custom door hardware. In June 2021, a new collection of dog themed door hardware was launched. In early 2021 the company began expanding its collection of cabinet hardware. Recent hospitality projects include the luxury Post Oak Hotel, a Gensler designed Landry’s project in Houston where Pierce designed and made key door handles for the public areas as well as braid style handles for the bedrooms. The Uptown Houston hotel opened in 2019 and has been acclaimed as a 5-star diamond hotel. Martin Pierce was chosen to design and fabricate very large contemporary steel handles for key public areas as well as a signature post oak handle based on the hotel’s namesake.
Other hospitality projects include the Baha Resort in Nasua, and the W Sentosa Cove Hotel in Singapore. Martin Pierce founded the company initially to create artistic cabinet hardware for the furniture pieces in his Hedgerow collection. The cabinet hardware designs created an audience beyond furniture collectors and as demand grew the company developed a more comprehensive line of door hardware and bathroom accessories. More recently the company has added LED lights to their contemporary steel handles and have added a small collection of LED wall sconces to their brand.
The hardware collections range from contemporary to classical designs and include organic shapes, trees, grapevines, insects, lizards, and ocean themes all cast in investment bronze or stainless steel and made in Los Angeles. The company’s focus on exceptional quality and intricate detail makes it an obvious source for those seeking original hardware and their clientele runs the gamut from wine cellar owners to luxury home contractors to designers of 5-star resorts.
