Mr. Unger is a nice landlord WHEN you are living in his house, paying him every month. Whenever I had a problem, he fixed it ASAP. HOWEVER, once I moved out, he sent me less than half of what my deposit was. He charged me $45 for cleaning because my stove wasn't clean, $40 for carpet, and $30 for yard. First of all, when I moved into the house, the house was filthy. Second, the carpet already had stains, and lastly, the yard is a yard. When I called him about the discrepancies I had, he couldn't give me a full answer on what exactly was wrong. All he said was "filthy," when I cleaned the house better than when I lived there. To top things, he HUNG UP ON ME AFTER HE SAID, "IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS, PUT IT IN WRITING.." THEN click. Wow, some professional. MY ADVICE: If you use Mr. Unger, he will take all your money, meaning deposit. I would take photos before/after the house (detailed), write down anything and everything wrong, and before you move out, make him come check it out so he can't charge you. I lived in the house for 2 years. Everything was great, except for when I moved out. He was extremely rude once I was no longer his tenant.
