I go there every so often to sharpen my ice hockey skates. Great Ice hockey department. Decent selection of everything else in the newer store on Peach Street. And above all DECENT PRICING. Possibly not even matched by online retailers. I would definitely rate this store ten times above Dick's Sporting Goods.

Excellent
The hockey department on keystone drive is excellent. Good selection, decent pricing, and excellent customer service. Phil, who runs the hockey department, will spent as much time as is needed to help you get what you need. He knows his stuff and wont lie and tell you that you need top end equipment. He will tell you what is suitable for you and your experience level. He also sharpens skates and does a good job. I had him cut a different radius so I could try it. When I returned the next day unhappy with the change, he gladly resharpened them for free.

Excellent Customer Service
If your son or daughter plays hockey like mine does there's no other choice but The Erie Sports Store. I've dealt with all the hockey stores in Erie. None comes close to the CUSTOMER SERVICE like Phil gives. I tried to stay away from stores that weren't exclusive Hockey Stores, but with hockey skates costing up to $600 I wanted to shop around. I even looked online. Phil spent over an hour with us , knowing we were just looking for skates around $300. I found he is VERY knowledgeable, easy to talk to and will go out of his way to help you in any way he can.

Horrible Customer Service
We ordered a lettermans jacket for my son. After a few years we returned to the store to have some letters removed and more letters put on the coat. When the coat was ordered, my wife dealt with the rudest person in a customer orientated business. It was the owners wife. When we returned to the store before Christmas we were told 7 to 10 days. I talked to someone the day after it was dropped off and he reassured me that the changes I wanted would be Taken Care Of . Well at the end of January I called to see what was going on. A very nice gentleman was eager to help and called me the next morning to tell me the coat had been there. It was not done the way it was supposed to be. After talking to the cashier we figured out that the owner's son was the one who told me it was taken care of, and it was not. I was told the owner's son does no wrong so it was not worth the aggravation to fight with the management. We have 4 children who always need sporting equiptment and I promise you I

Wonderful salesman!
I recently went to the downtown store where I experienced the best customer service of all time.The salesman in the team department bent over backwards to help me. I believe his name was Bobby Belczyk. We looked through multiple catalogs and found exactly what I was looking for.He gave me a good price and so I ordered the item. After he graciously helped me, he wished me a good day and moved to help the next customer. He truly deserves an award for his customer service. Excellent golf department
The golf department at the Erie Sports Store has been nothing excellent for me. Last year I was searching for a set of Wilson irons and had checked all the golf stores in Western New York and the Erie...Worldwide > United States > Erie, PA > Electronics
