Well 'John Glanton' and his father the Sr. Glanton may have been very helpful to the black community for the greater part, but as always it's what you leave behind that ultimately counts. I Dan Thompson have worked very closely with 'John Glanton' and his infamous son "'Chuck Glanton'" for the last 9 years. I gave Mr. 'Glanton' a man as he himself said "that in all his years, he has never seen someone do everything that I do right", and "out of 100 men I was the ONE." Well considering that 'John Glanton' had various jacklegs like Macroyce Corbitt, and Whitehurst fooling and causing more damage than good, I was apparently a 'great white hope' to the man when his own people were taking advantage of him and his 'legacy.' I have worked long and hard as well as efficently over these years to repair the damage that was done, and to bring his many properties back up to higher state of living for his renters. A long road that still has a long way to go. I gave my utmost effort to promote his 'legacy', at an affordable cost, and being there as needed for the man. Mr. Glanton had me fooled all these years, for one Saturday last year (2011) I was called by Mr. Glanton to an emergency on his rental house on Burdeshaw St. where a woman of color named McIntire now resides. I instructed Mr. Glanton that I would arrive in 30 minutes. Upon arriving, Mr. Glanton is parked in the driveway (his cadillac) and he was at the front of his car talking to McIntire and another female in the driveway. I see and was told the problem was that the resident had broken off the pipe for the outside faucet, and water was shooting up into the air. I proceeded to get my water shut off wrench out of my truck, and shut the water off. No sooner than this was done, McIntire the resident, was hollering that she didn't want that 'white man' and 'cracker' back on "her"?? property. Glanton just stood there not saying a word after her statement. That told me everything I needed to know. I told Glanton that I would not be back and to call someone else to fix it. I had my brother Richard with me the whole time and he witnessed the same. I left and approximately 30 minutes later I get a msg on my phone from 'John Glanton' saying, "I know why you left, and I know it don't take that long to go to Lowes, and that I better get on back there."
