El Rodeo is muy bueno.
I like eating at any Rodeo. This location is nice, has a nice long bench to wait on when it is busy-which I really appreciate, especially when holding a sleeping baby. The food is good, the drinks plentiful and very family friendly.

Best Mexican in Iowa
Although the wait to get seated can be extra long with larger parties, it is worth it! My Des Moines family always takes out-of-town guest there, and as a Southern California resident, I was skeptical on my first visit a few years ago. Since then, I have been there at least 10 times on my visits to Iowa, and loved every one of them! (It has become a tradition now to meet there.) The Tacos el Carne Azada are AMAZING, and the salsa, pico de gallo and salsa verde are truly authentic and tasty.
