Dr. Banias received his bachelor’s degree in biology at the Citadel, a master’s degree in human Physiology at the University of Southern California, and his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by a residency at Wright State University and a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the Medical College of Georgia. He also served in the United States Air Force and retired after 24 years of service.
