Relax along the peaceful, private lake, then hop on the free weekend wagonride tour of the 377-acre, privately owned Oakland Plantation. Situated on the grounds of a real antebellum plantation, there's no mistaking you're in Carolina Lowcountry when you camp at this KOA. You'll find beautiful live oaks with Spanish moss throughout the campground. Take a walk along the campground's 1.5-mile nature trail; rent a bike or boat; play disc golf, cornhole; and fish the private 30-acre lake (catch and release). Explore historic Charleston and all it has to offer. Visit Fort Sumter National Monument as well as the many spectacular plantations in the area. It is a short drive to Patriots Point, home of the USS Yorktown, where you can tour the Medal of Honor Museum and the Vietnam Experience Exhibit. Don't have an RV? Stay in one of the rustic Camping Cabins, Deluxe Cabins or the family lodge. Pool: March 1 - mid-October, weather permitting. The pool is not heated. Max pull thru: 80 feet. GPS Lat.
