This really was the worse experience I have ever had with renting an apartment in Plattsburgh, NY. When shown the apartment it looked great and was very excited to move in. The day we were suppose to move in we went into the place and it was filthy. Dirt and who knows what was all over the floor and walls, the place smelt of urine, and this furnished apt was filled with broken furniture and covered with dryer sheets. Property Manger was contacted and had said a cleaner had already been there but he would sent one again.When asked if the broken furniture could be removed bc of course they were broken the owner didn't believe us and said we had to keep it. Had to postpone the move and the next day went back and the place was just as disgusting. Since my roommates and I couldn't wait another day to move in we cleaned it ourselves. Throughout the summer that I lived there property manger would enter our home without notifying us and when no one was home. Even after talking to him and telling him not too he would still come. It was stated in the lease that he was suppose to give 24 hrs notice before coming to the apt. He was very rude and difficult to work with. Nothing would get fixed or done unless we called the property manger everyday about the problem. When we would talk to him about something it would take a while bc he always said he couldn't do anything without talking to the owner first. We only lived there 3 months and somehow our entire deposits are gone. I just want people to be aware so they don't get taken advantage of like I did.
