Large selection of homemade items, good customer service
This pet store is really good. I first went there last year when I was looking for information about dog breeders. They contract with several breeders and helped me find the perfect dog. They also do pet grooming.Worse than a puppy mill
We purchased our little dog from Animal Kingdom at the beginning of November. We were told that one of the dogs in her cage tested positive for giardia, but that didn't necessarily mean that our girl had it. They gave us a round of Panacure which is meant as treatment for giardia. So far that hasn't been a problem, which is good because what are dog has is one of the WORST cases of Kennel Cough that our vet has ever seen. The day after we purchased our puppy, we noticed that she had a bit of a cough. We took her to the vet and began antibiotics. As a matter of fact, we have had her on antibiotics almost since her purchase date. Our little girl's x-rays showed lungs which were so clouded that it was difficult to see her heart. This dog came from the breeder sick, and this isn't the first puppy they have purchased from Michelle Sonnenberg. So far, we have spent more on this dog than her purchase price. If the current round of antibiotics does not work, our next step is a procedurHorrible
We purchased Zoe from Animal Kingdom on April 7th 2010. We weren't too keen on getting a dog from a pet store, would rather have adopted from the humane society, but the minute we laid eyes on her we fell in LOVE. All was great until a week after buying her she began to have diarrhea. We took her into the vet and she tested positive for both giardia and coccidia, which Animal Kingdom told us she tested negative for. Both of these parasites take up to 2 weeks from infection to symptoms so we know for a fact she has them before we bought her. Had her to the vet last week and she has finally kicked the coccidia but we are still on round 3 of treatment for the giardia. It has turned out to be VERY expensive treating her for something that should have been treated before we got her or could have been prevented by the store keeping it's environment cleaner. After initially finding out that she had these two parasites we went down to Animal Kingdom to inform them and they were extremely rude and didn't seem concerned at all. Everyone that I have spoken to that has purchased and animal from there has had nothing but bad things to say about them. Everything from giardia to crushed windpipes. I would highly discourage anyone from buying a pet or supplies there. I find it absoultely irresponsible for a business owner to practice the way they do. Hopefully we can get the word out so they go out of business or get shut down.Worldwide > United States > Bismarck, ND > Clothing
