BUYER BEWARE OF JOHN BRANDT CPA
John Brandt is a bully I tried him on our corp taxes and he was much lower in price then other CPAs,but as soon as he had my paperwork he tried to raise his prices and when I complained he would not return my paperwork and he threaten to contact the IRS on some of my deductions.He told me to try and sue him and he would keep me in court forever and cost me a lot of money as he kept his attorny on retainer.DONT TRUST HIM HE IS DISHONEST HE cost me a lot of sleepless nights

BUYER BEWARE
John will offer his services at a low price to get you in the door,when you arrange to pick up your taxes he very nicely explains that he was not aware of certain parts of your taxes and he charges you more then 25% more then he told you at the beginning.If you protest he will also explain that he knows certain parts of your taxes that might cause a problem if the IRS were contacted and that would cost you a lot more then what he charged you on his bill,if that does not get you to pay his bill then he explains that his lawyer will drag you thru the court system and cost you all the time and money in court.I had it with him I was told that he was a nice Jewish CPA that would save me money.NOT TRUE he has cost me more in his fees then what I would owe the IRS if I had not used him.He charges way to much and his collection of his dishonest accounting is wrong and immoral.If you use this man DO NOT explain any of your questionable deductions to him,he will use that information to raise your bill and blackmail you to pay his inflated invoice

John SCREWS UP AGAIN
We met this man at a business function and he explained how he could save our firm thousands of dollars in accounting fees,we should have know better(it sounded to good to be true)At the very start we had problems with him and he blamed it on our old accounting firm.I later found out that he was having one of his office people do all the work and charging us for a CPA to review our books.We had to pay thousands of dollars to the goverment for his mistakes and to top it all off he tried to overbill us and even threaten us to get paid.Well it turns out that our attorney is bigger then his and he gave up trying to collect his fees,but not without threatening us with all kinds of problems down the road

Some people can't tell the truth
Any reviews which refuse to identify themselves either in the email address or in the body of the review must be suspect. Obviously, this is John Brandt's response to the vicious and unfactual "reviews". The three "reviews" are filled with what I would deem lies. I do not make guarantees of saving anyone money, although, it has happened many, many times. You just can't promise anything until you know what the details are and then only if they have given you factual data. I don't blame the old accounting firm for problems. I do have staff work on accounts and are billed at staff rates, not at my rates! This too is intended to hurt my professional reputation in my opinion.
