West Houston Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center

Mark R. Rogers, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon treating patients in and around Houston at his practice, West Houston Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Dr. Rogers provides a wide range of services, including sports medicine services and treatments for knee pain, knee arthritis, meniscus tears including arthroscopic knee surgery, and knee replacements. Dr. Rogers also performs carpal tunnel release and rotator cuff repairs.
Born in Dallas, Dr. Rogers graduated at the top of his high school class. He majored in biochemistry at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and attended medical school at the University of Texas in Houston, where he completed his general surgery internship. He moved back to Virginia where he completed his orthopedic residency at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk. From there, he went to Philadelphia where he completed his fellowship in sports medicine at Lankenau Hospital through the Jefferson Medical College. He’s a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Rogers moved back to Houston in 1991 and has been treating "weekend warriors" to professional athletes since then. His focus is shoulder and knee reconstruction, although he treats all orthopedic problems. Dr. Rogers is affiliated with West Houston Medical Center. He has treated thousands of patients using innovative nonsurgical technologies and procedures whenever possible. Dr. Rogers treats patients of all ages, from infants to centenarians. He’s also one of the most experienced orthopedists in using nonsurgical treatments for osteoarthritis of the knee.
An avid golfer, Dr. Rogers is married and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
