We constantly had racoons in the attic. When I moved out, I paid my rent until 11/9/08 after giving them the mandatory 60 days notice and moved out on 11/1/08 leaving behind some things that wouldn't fit in the truck, some things still on the wall and some cleaning supplies and an $1,800 vacuum cleaner. When my wife and I went back to clean the apartment and get the rest of our things on 11/8/08, everything was gone. The manager said it was their mistake and everything but 2 bowlingballs were thrown away. Thye agreed to pay us $2,500 (the value was close to $2,850) and we accepted just to put an end to the whole ordeal. I had to sign a paper saying I wouldn't contact the police or the media if they paid me by Dec 19 and I have not received it and it is now 1/11/09. I was first told the check was in the mail and then that the accountant wouldn't answer the emails and phone calls. I made a police report but was told it was a civil matter. When I told the policeman that we had lived there for over 7 years, he asked, "How could you stand it for that long?"Worldwide > United States > Spring Branch, TX > Apartments
