Katz’s has been a Texas institution for 40 years. We got so busy, we stayed open 24 hours. And that’s where we got our saying, “Katz’s Never Kloses.”

Best meal on the go!
Excellent new restaurant, the chopped liver, stuffed cabbage, Reuben, Brooklyn Breakfast, and cheesecake shake are all worth the 30 minute drive we do once a week. The other menus items look great, but we are stuck on these.Cocky night management
This restuarant is managed at night by a cocky little twerp! They closed an hour and half early and refused to let me speak to my friends that were already there watching the Cowboys vs Packers Thursday Night game. When I asked the night manager for his name, he told me, "I don't have to give you my name." He also said that's he's "good and that's why he's the manager." Also, the big waitress made a surly comment as I was leaving, "I hope you have a good evening!"Katz's Continues the Tradition
I use to live in the Woodlands/Shenandoah area when Katz's started construction on the Express store and eagerly awaited the grand opening since I had been to other location on Westheimer. I used to drive all the way down there to get a reuben, so I was ecstatic when I heard about the Woodlands location. Unfortunately I had to move away before they opened. However, this Friday afternoon, after a year of living away from Houston, I was in the area and went in to get a reuben and it was just as good as the other store and just like I remembered Katz's to be. The only thing that was slightly disappointing to me was that they don't have a full bar. I'll just have to make a trip to the Houston store for my favorite Holy Mary before I leave town. It's about time Katz's opened up a store on this side of town.Best rye bread ever
We walked in the door and were instantly greeted by smiling faces. They were not only helpful, but also very knowledgable. When we sat we could see what the cooks were doing at all times because there was an open kitchen. Our food was brought to us in a prompt manner. We shared the pot roast..... And may I say.... Better than my mother used to make. I will definatley be backWoodland Express not like Downtown Local
I ate there last night with a friend for the first time. I had eaten downtown many times before, found the food to be great, and a good value. In The Woodlands, I saw the "Express" concept! Order in line, 2 small pastrami sandwiches, 1 side and 2 drinks: $28.50! Dinner menu indicated the stuffed cabbage like downtown, except it came with 2 instead of 3, 1 side instead of 2, free pickles but no cole slaw, all at the same price as downtown. Needless to say, as one who frequents the Katz's downtown location regularly, I was disappointed. I wish I had eaten elsewhere, and will not stop here again!Katz's Deli - Not Good Food, Expensive!!
Thursday night and the place was empty. Pastrami tasted like fried bologna. Little meat on sandwich. Reubin sandwich more sourkraut than meat. Two medium sandwiches, two fries, one softdrink, $31. Outrageous price especially for bad food! The service was like Wataburger. All they do is deliver your order. Will never return!Worldwide > United States > Spring, TX > American Restaurants
