Spicy tuna and shrimp tempura are staples on the Kirin II Japanese Seafood Buffet menu, a tasty Japanese option in the Houston neighborhood of Houston.

Great sushi!
Some of the best sushi I've ever tasted! I love the California sushi as well as the Spitfires! They have a full sushi buffet as well as another buffet with great items such as teriyaki chicken and yummy salmon, along w/ the usual kid friendly chicken nuggets and stuff. My daughter came with us expecting not to find anything but she was wrong! Great desserts as well.Kirin Ii Japanese Seafood is delightful
Easily the best sushi buffet I have ever been to in Houston. The food is fresh, good and plentiful. I highly recommend going to Kirin II if you are in need of delicious, “all you can eat†sushi. Some may insist that the price is too high, but to that I say,†You get what you pay forâ€Â.Kirin was great
I'm normally wary of buffets but this one was great, everything was very fresh and clean!not very good, but for a buffet, decent
i've been to kirin several times, mostly because it's a cheap fix for a sushi craving if you go during the day. the selection is ok, but being a buffet, it is very difficult to get fresh food, and i find that the sushi is of very poor quality.A bit expensive
The food is ok; it's typical of "buffet" food. The price is a bit on the high end considering the fact that the selection is not that wide. I wish they have kid menu.A Great Place to Start
As with anything food that is served in a buffet format the quality is not the best. I have found that the price for lunch is sufficient for the desperate sushi patron looking for a quick fix. If said patron is desperate enough to venture into the Willowbrook Pseudo Sushi Cuisine in the first place. The Quality is dropping
Every time I went to Kirin, I felt the foods are becoming worse. The fishes are so not fresh. The refills of dishes and water are so slow. Server or bus person do not pay attention to the customer. They do not bus the plate from customer?s desk. Dozo or Miyako have better buffet than Kirin does. Why go to Kirin II when there are so many other great choices?
The Galleria area of Houston has dozens of oriental restaurants; sushi, buffet style and others. You can get a good fill-up for about $10 at a lot of them, and their food quantity and selection, and the restaurant decor will be better than what you get at Kirin for $22. I don't understand how Kirin stays in business. Not that the food was awful, but they are practically surrounded by people doing the same thing better and cheaper.Good price and service
I went on a Sunday right when it opened and everything was fresh! The the restuarant quickly filled up but my server was very attentive there were never any dirty plates on the table and my diet coke stayed full. I think that this is a good value. Twenty bucks for all the sushi you can eat. I promise the snow crab looked like king crab! My waitress even brought I melted butter without me asking. I guess there wasn't a lot of hot foods, but for all the crab, boiled shrimp, oysters on the half shell and sushi who needs hot foods. A dozen oysters in other establishments start at $6.95 this is a good value.Kirin II - FM 1960 Is Excellent Value for the Money - Great Sushi!
We have been to this retaurant about a dozen times and we have never been disappointed.Always a winner
I have been going here for years and always been satisfied. I enjoy the seafood as much as the sushi.Watch your credit card charges....
Food was good and I had a good experience here until the next day. WATCH THE CHARGE ON YOUR CREDIT CARD BILL. I paid via credit card and slashed a "0" there the tip amount and the wrote in the total amount because I left a $15 CASH TIP. Well, I checked my online statement this morning and they charge me an additional tip. So, basically this was unauthorized charge.Best Japenese for the money
I love this place. Their lunch is pretty good, but no place can beat their dinner buffet. I've ate here about 10 times. I'd eat here more often if it was closer. Their quality of food is second to no buffet. I love their Duck.Great fresh Japanese food~
this place is always is busy when we go but super friendly. fresh seafood...wide variety of flavor in sushi and hot buffet too. i have to say that i only likethe evening buffett though~! lunch is not as much variety and more fried :(Worldwide > United States > Houston, TX > Seafood Restaurants
