Good Vet Clinic
I really loved this vet's clinic for my dog. I especially appreciated being able to drop in on weekdays and make appointments on weekends. I've gotten private calls from the vets regarding lab results, etc. I wish we still lived close...Good experience
I travel often for my job, and I board my dog and cat at Holt routinely. Their prices are very reasonable and I'm comfortable they're well cared-for by the doctors and staff.A very good option for the busy professional
I took my cat here when she had an emergency tail amputation. She was treated quickly and both she and I were put at ease after a somewhat traumatic accident. They take appointments for Saturday mornings which is convenient for the working professional. The staff tends to be young and I think perhaps are more attentive because they are newly graduated from veterinary school. I did, however, see a different Vet every year and missed the continuity of single Dr for my pet. If I still lived near the facility, I would definitely continue to take my pet to them.Horrible mistake/misdiagnosis/malpractice
I took my toy fox terrier puppy there who had a severely broken leg/elbow. The vet (can't remember his name) misdiagnosed her and said it was a sprain. A week later she needed $1,500 surgery to repair it. By then the bones had separated a lot and she fractured it more by not having it fixed in a timely manner. This vet is no longer there. Would NEVER take an animal back there.Best vets in Dallas
For more than 15 years we have taken our pets to Holt. The doctors there have treated our dogs and two cats with the utmost care and consideration. The doctors are highly qualified and experienced and listen to us. We have dealt with several doctors on the staff at Holt and all have been excellent. When Bonkers, our long time family dog, had to be put down at the age of 17 the entire staff was caring and professional. All of our pets receive annual physicals and innoculations from Holt to keep them in the best possible health. We travel frequently and always feel comfortable leaving our pets in the clean and spacious boarding facilites at Holt which are superior to any others in the area.We feel fortunate that our family pets have access to the quality of care they receive at Holt.Great Vet Clinic
I just recently took my cat in for her yearly shots. This was my first time to go to Holt since moving to Dallas. The staff and the doctor that we saw were extremely nice. He was very gentle when giving my cat her injections and he allowed me to ask any questions that I may of had. It sure is comforting to know that I have a vet who makes me feel like I am still at home. I will be sure to let all my friends know about Holt.Fixed broken leg
My father is unwell and on a fixed income. His dog recently broke its leg when hit by a car. Dad could not afford the near-1000 dollars for the surgery, so we told the vets at Holt that we would have to put Buster to sleep. The vets conferred and offered to fix his leg for much less as a teaching experience whereby the senior vet (Dr Baxter, I believe) mentored the younger vet while doing the surgery together. Buster was given antibiotics and pain medicine, and Dr. Bratton discharged Dad's dog with both written and oral instructions. Two months later, Dr Bratton and Dr Caldwell took an X-ray and removed the metal rod in Buster's leg. He is fit as a fiddle now, and walks with Dad every day, although he now has a healthy respect for autos. This is a vet clinic that puts compassion and competence at the top of their list. The staff is also great--every employee seems to have a dog treat in their pocket. This is the first and last place to take your pet!The Most Caring Compassionate people on the planet!
This is a fantastic veterinary clinic. I have an eight year old chow-chow and a five year old chow-chow. My roommate has a 110 lb. black lab/german shepard mix. These veterinarians are patient and amazing people. The do not stereotype my chow-chows because of their breeds (my dogs are very well socialized).eh
I boarded my dog there twice, once he came back with ticks all over him and another he came back with diahreah. He has also had two sets of shots there and both experiences were wonderful. The staff is incredibly nice and my dog loves going there, I just wonder how clean their facilities are.Don't board here!
We boarded our two dogs here for four days, and when we picked them up, they were wet and horribly stinky. Our usually friendly adult female was completely cowered to the ground in fear, and our puppy was bouncing off the walls like this was her first time out in four days.Picked up my dogs today from Camp Holt
I travel a lot for both business and pleasure. My dogs always stay at Camp Holt, sometimes for a weekend, sometimes for a week. Each dog has its own indoor cage and outdoor run. When I drop them off, both dogs always charge to the back barking all the while (that's why we call the place Camp Holt). When they get home, they usually sleep for about 24 hrs because they're so tired from all the running and barking. Today, I noticed that my younger female had a little scratch on her nose when she came up, possibly from the kennel gate. One of the vets looked at her right off, prescribed an antibiotic salve, and gave her a treat. I continue to be very pleased with the staff and facility at Holts.Great Staff
I have visited Holt Vet Clinic several times for my elderly cat and puppy. The service from each vet has been superb. They seem to always have time to answer my questions. On a couple of occasions, the vets called me personally to discuss lab results and treatments for my pets. As a plus, no appointment necessary on weekdays and Saturday appointments are very convenient!!Bad Clinic------------Report
We took our cat to Holt Clinic--Dr. Baxter---He charged us an enormous amount of money for NOT treating our cat. Gave us penicillin and said he should have pulled his teeth. Well he did not, so we gave our precious pet the medicine, to no avail. We called in for a refill and was charged + extra amount. He did not even serve the proper diagnosis for our cat. In the meantime, our cat got worse, so we took it to a different vet, whom we LOVE. DO NOT GO TO HOLT CLINIC, EVER..THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT MONEY-FORGET YOUR PRECIOUS PET if your go there. I feel we need to be reimbursed for our time and money, if our cat dies, due to mismanagement, and diagnosis.Happy with Holt
I've been a long time customer for nearly thirty years. Recently, Dr Baxter met me before hours to treat my dog's bloody diarrhea. I was panicky but Baxter calmly reassured me. Tests were normal and I took her home at lunchtime. Dr. Baxter called me 3 days later to ask about her condition. I told him that both patients--dog and man--were fine. You can't beat this level of service and compassion.Good experience
