The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, originally brought to New York in 1996, has earned itself the reputation as New York City's best comedy club, bringing world-renowned comedy acts, classes, and open mics to New Yorkers for over a decade.
Founded by Matt Besser, Amy Poehler, Ian Roberts and Matt Walsh, the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre has been named "Best Comedy Club" by AOL and "Hot Farm Team" by Rolling Stone Magazine. The UCB Theatre is recognized and widly respected in the comedy world for both featuring and launching world-class acts, including performers and writers for Saturday Night Live, The Office, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Ellen Degeneres Show, 30 Rock, Best Week Ever, Old School, Blades of Glory, Semi-Pro, and dozens of other films, commercials, and TV Shows.
The UCB Theatre features nightly comedy shows, ranging from improv, to sketch comedy, to stand-up, and everything in-between. Prices range from $5-$10, depending on the day of the week, and can be purchased at the door. Reservations are available through the website(reserving tickets is recommended if the show is expected to sell out).

I was surprised that our experience was so bad after reading all the good reviews. My friend and I went on Harold night, and we felt like the show was full of inside jokes that only about 1/8 of the audience seemed to get. It was kind of...Worldwide > United States > New York, NY > Theaters
