Specialties:
We are known for our Biscuits and Gravy. Try our homemade Chicken Fried Steak. Large portion and covered in gravy. My favorite is Eggs Benedict or the Cajun Sausage Skillet. Add Bananas or Blueberries to your pancakes for a treat. We serve Turkey Bacon and Egg Beaters or Whites for the health conscious.
Our soups are homemade and the burgers are made with a mixture of Ground Beef and Sausage. All Beef available upon request. My favorites are the Chicken Cobb Salad, South Western Melt, Bleu Cheeseburger or the BLAST sandwich.

History:
Established in 1973.
John Jenkins built this building in 1973. He was a building inspector for the City of Escondido. I began working here in 1987 and it was called The Galley. It became K & S Cafe in the 90's and now I own it. What other name could I choose besides Home Sweet Home Cafe?
Meet the Business Owner-Lisa C:
I have been a waitress at this little cafe for 26 years. I had the opportunity to buy it in 2010 and have made improvements to the food and atmosphere. I listen to my customers and try to accommodate their requests if possible. I love this place and really enjoy meeting my customers!
